Pleased to meet you...

I'm 30 years old. Born in Sunderland. I'm a doctor living in London. I got involved in the Everest Test through a friend who's also on the expedition and I jumped at the chance. Medically speaking you'll be pleased to know that I'm a fully qualified doctor (I have the certificates to prove it). My interest is in general medicine and emergency medicine. I've experiene of altitude medicine. In 2003 I spent a week living in a lab at 5200m above sea level as part of an acute mountain sickness research team. Incidentally part of the research involved taking Viagra...but that's a story for another time. Between myself and the three other doctors on the team I'm sure we've all the bases covered. I like to think I'm positive and good under pressure. I'm looking forward to the challenge, getting to know the team, and to the views on the trek.
